After eleven years of trading we are closing the doors (slowly) for the last time. It's a sad day for us all. We started SigNetMusic at the start of the dot com era and we're proud that we were probably the first genuine Online General Musical Instrument retailer in the UK. We agree that we were beaten to the number one slot by Dolphin Music who were a great inspiration for us - but back then they were purely music technology e-tailers.

We learned the industry the hard way - our Musician customers are not for turning! There's no two ways about it - the high street store is the only viable way to sell these precious items properly. Even our friends at Dolphin had to succumb to a massive high street presence to survive when they added "proper" instruments to their portfolio.

Ultimately it wasn't for us - we had a really good go at the e-commerce business model and we stuck at it longer than most. Our passion is and always will be for Orchestral and Acoustic instruments so it's time to say a big thank you to all our thousands of customers across the UK, Europe and the USA. We have some stock left and we'd love you to buy it - we're offering it at great prices in our e-bay store - when it's gone it's gone !

Finally all our dreams and our business for the last decade would not have been possible without the hundreds of suppliers we became dependent upon. As in all businesses there were a few anchor suppliers that supported us from the very start and stuck by us through thick and thin. This is our opportunity to show our gratitude finally to those suppliers (and friends) with out whom we could not have survived. Thank you!
